Why This Matters
The term “medic” isn’t protected.
It could mean:
- A registered Paramedic
- A registered Nurse
- An emergency medical technician
- First Responder or first aider
- or someone with no training
Not knowing the difference can put your production at risk.
Key Training Differences:
- Paramedic 3000+ hours
- Nurse 2300+ hours
- EMT 400-1000+ hours
- first responder / first aider - 1-5 days
What “Medic” Doesn’t Tell You:
A hi-vis and a kit bag ≠ a qualified clinician.
Always ask:
- Registration number (HCPC/NMC)
- Training and scope of practice
- Governance and insurance
In an emergency, seconds count.
The wrong “medic” could mean:
No emergency drugs
No emergency interventions
No clinical escalation process
No experience of managing incidents
Your production deserves safe, accountable care.
Silver Screen Medics only provides:
Qualified, registered clinicians
CQC governance
Full clinical oversight
